Certified Organic Pastured Pork
We have bred Berkshire pigs for their wonderfully-marbled meat. Raising pigs on rotating paddocks of organic native plants, clean soil, fresh air, and sunshine allowed us to produce the highest quality, best tasting meat while allowing the animals to live the life nature intended. The pigs were supplemented with certified organic grains and our certified organic goats’ milk and vegetables
Pigs root native plants and shrubs during the warm months, providing the disturbance and nutrients needed to renew the plants and the soil; the rest period of a year for each paddock gives the soil adequate time to recover, harvest solar energy, and regrow.
Selling directly to local buyers allows us to provide a healthy, tasty organic alternative to the large-scale meat production business that floods the supermarkets. We are excited to provide, pork cuts and sausages at our on-farm Store or our website year round, and at the Ashland Growers' and Crafters’ Markets spring through fall.
All animals are processed at a USDA inspected facility.
