Willow-Witt Ranch Packgoats

How we care for the land at the headwaters establishes the foundation for the integrity of the entire watershed.  Like pure mountain water, the effects of good stewardship here cascade downstream, creating the opportunity for cleaner rivers, more abundant wildlife, and a healthier Rogue Valley for all of us.  That's why we're proud to be farming for a sustainable future.  From goats, farm tours, and fresh farm goods to birding, hiking, farm stays and packgoat adventures, Willow-Witt Ranch has something for you.

Willow-Witt Ranch

Located at 4600' elevation in the Southern Cascade Range, east of Ashland, Oregon,  our 440 acres consist of a mix of meadows, conifer and oak woodlands, wetlands, streams, and multiple springs flowing from the crest of the Bear Creek Watershed.

Through wetland restoration, energy independence, sustainable agriculture and forest management we've created a sanctuary for wildlife and an ideal retreat from the hectic pace of everyday life.  Now you can live the dream by joining us for a Farm Stay, a multi-day opportunity to live, work, and play on a historic, off-grid, sustainable high mountain ranch!  Winter rates are only $99/night for two people, and $10 per extra person.  Please click on the menu at left for more information and contact numbers.

Beyond developing sustainable production methods and holistic forest management practices that protect the ecosystems we all depend on, we've initiated ongoing projects to restore cattle-impacted wetlands and enhance the water quality of streams heading into Bear Creek's threatened salmon habitat.  In fact, owners Suzanne Willow and Lanita Witt have recently been awarded 2007 Jackson County Tree Farmers of the Year, "In recognition of the long term stewardship of their forest land and associated resource values, and their commitment to helping others do the same."  Now more than ever, we are determined to carry this historic ranch into the future as a model of progressive agriculture and sound environmental stewardship.

Our Mission

Willow-Witt Ranch is strongly committed to producing safe, high quality, locally-grown meat and dairy products while providing our community with opportunities to experience  and learn about sustainable agriculture in the unique environment of Southern Oregon's wild high country.
